Planned Brookshire expansion will strengthen manufacturing capacity and grow the campus workforce to more than 500 employees, supporting Waller County’s economic growth.

HOUSTON, TX – Race Rock, a leading nationwide manufacturer and distributor of steel infrastructure products for the utility, highway, and energy markets, presented the company’s expansion plans to the Waller County Economic Development Partnership. Race Rock’s existing operations in Waller County (founded in 1988 as Orizon Industries) employ over 250 people and manufacture steel structures for a variety of end markets, including utility, data centers, and LNG.
Earlier this year, Race Rock announced plans to invest more than $100 million to expand its Brookshire, TX manufacturing campus. As part of its broader growth strategy, these investments will help attract skilled workers as the combined campus grows to more than 500 employees. Once complete, the expanded manufacturing campus will span approximately 90 acres and include more than 500,000 square feet of manufacturing space. The investment will also strengthen Race Rock’s ability to meet rising customer demand for products that support North America’s critical infrastructure.
