Major investment will add 50,000 tons of additional annual capacity at full production and create more than 200 jobs to meet rising demand for transmission and substation structures

HOUSTON–Race Rock (www.racerock.com), a privately owned manufacturer and distributor of steel infrastructure products serving the utility, highway, and energy markets, announced plans to expand its Brookshire, Texas campus with a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The expansion will help meet growing demand for modernized and expanded electrical transmission and substation structures that are critical to North America’s infrastructure needs.
The new facility will be located within Race Rock’s Brookshire Manufacturing Campus, which offers access to key markets and major transportation corridors. Together with Race Rock’s existing Brookshire operations, the expansion will bring the campus to approximately 90 acres and more than 500,000 square feet of manufacturing space under roof.
“This investment reflects the continued growth we are seeing in critical infrastructure demand across the country,” said Donald Young, CEO of Race Rock. “The Brookshire expansion enhances our ability to deliver the capacity, quality, and reliability our customers expect while supporting their long-term infrastructure investments.”
Construction on the expansion is expected to begin in fall 2026. Once complete, the facility will add over 200 employees, bringing the total workforce in Brookshire to more than 500. The Brookshire expansion will also add up to 50,000 tons of annual production capacity. At full production, Race Rock will provide more than 150,000 tons of annual capacity across four facilities, substantially increasing its ability to serve customers across multiple infrastructure markets.
