REPORTS TO: Yard/Shipping Manager
SPECIFICATIONS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Shipping Manager with coordinating activities of workers in the yard
- Backup for Shipping Manager
- Check shipments and deliveries for accuracy
- Perform necessary yard duties as needed
SPECIFICATIONS OF AUTHORITIES:
- Instruct yard employees
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION(S):
- Leadership and Management skills
- The ability to read a tape measure and perform simple calculations
- Willingness to work outside in all types of weather
- Lift and move heavy objects, sometimes in excess of 50 pounds
- Operate a forklift
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work overtime hours as needed (sometimes on a regular basis)
- The ability to work well with others
OTHER DETAILS:
- Hours are Monday through Friday, 7AM-4PM
- Position is non-exempt with overtime being paid after 40 hours worked a week
