Bandsaw Operator – Full Time – Hutto, TX

Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour 

SUMMARY:
The Bandsaw Operator is responsible for accurately cutting raw materials according to production specifications while maintaining quality, efficiency, and safety standards.

SPECIFICATIONS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate bandsaw equipment to cut metal materials to specified lengths and dimensions.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production schedules.
• Measure materials accurately using tape measures and other measuring devices.
• Verify material dimensions and quality before and after cutting.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Maintain production records and material tracking documentation.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist with material handling and other fabrication tasks as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read measuring devices accurately.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio-hazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises.
• Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.
• Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and includes the use of protective equipment.
