Standard Steel Poles
Steel poles each offer unique advantages depending on specific needs and contexts. The benefits of steel poles include, strength and reliability, durability and longevity, lower maintenance costs, versatility, and reduced environmental impact.
Structure designs include round steel poles and 12-sided steel poles. Round steel poles range from Class 2 to H2 (RUS S-04.2), with total pole lengths ranging from 30ft to 95ft. 12-sided steel poles range from Class 2 to H10 (RUS S-11.0), with pole lengths ranging from 40ft to 140ft.
Why Steel Poles?
- Durability and Longevity: Steel poles have a significantly longer lifespan compared to wood poles. They are resistant to rot, decay, insects, and weather elements, offering a longer service life.
- Strength and Stability: Steel poles have higher strength-to-weight ratios compared to wood, providing more stability, especially in areas prone to extreme weather conditions like high winds or seismic activity.
- Low Maintenance: Steel poles require minimal maintenance over their lifespan compared to wood poles, which might need regular inspections, treatments, and replacements due to decay or damage.
- Versatility: Steel poles can be designed and manufactured to specific engineering standards, allowing for customization and adaptation to various applications and environments.
- Environmental Impact: While the manufacturing process has its own environmental footprint, steel poles are recyclable at the end of their lifespan, making them a sustainable choice in terms of material reuse.
