Yard Supervisor – Hutto, TX

REPORTS TO: Yard/Shipping Manager

SPECIFICATIONS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist Shipping Manager with coordinating activities of workers in the yard
• Backup for Shipping Manager
• Check shipments and deliveries for accuracy
• Perform necessary yard duties as needed

SPECIFICATIONS OF AUTHORITIES:

• Instruct yard employees

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Leadership and Management skills
• The ability to read a tape measure and perform simple calculations
• Willingness to work outside in all types of weather
• Lift and move heavy objects, sometimes in excess of 50 pounds
• Operate a forklift
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work overtime hours as needed (sometimes on a regular basis)
• The ability to work well with others

OTHER DETAILS:

• Hours are Monday through Friday, 7AM-4PM
• Position is non-exempt with overtime being paid after 40 hours worked a week
