JOB SUMMARY:
Coordinate project planning activities from order acknowledgment and drafting release through shop cut ticket issuance. Ensure customer requirements are validated, materials are assigned, and CNC programs are prepared to support uninterrupted production flow.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Interpret BOMs, drawings, and customer specifications for assigned projects.
2. Create and release complete cut ticket packages to manufacturing.
3. Verify customer requirements (CVN, silicone restrictions, tensile requirements, etc.) against ERP and material certifications.
4. Select and assign plate, shapes, and hardware from Syspro ERP and SigmaNest inventory.
5. Create CNC cut programs from DXF files and nest parts for efficient plate utilization.
6. Coordinate with Purchasing for material shortages or special orders.
7. Track project status and communicate updates to supervisors and management.
8. Support continuous improvement in planning processes and documentation.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• 2–5 years of experience in project planning, steel fabrication, or manufacturing.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, CNC programming, and nesting software (SigmaNest preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (Syspro experience highly preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret complex fabrication drawings independently.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check.
• Possession of a valid Texas driver’s license is a requirement for this job.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit and use a computer. Very limited physical effort required.
• Must be able to access the yard/plant as needed.
