Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager / Estimator to oversee engineered product projects from initial bidding through to final delivery. This role is integral to the success of our custom engineering solutions—including bridge rail, box beam, breakaway sign posts, and specialty guiderail components—ensuring each project is accurately estimated, efficiently managed, and successfully completed. The ideal candidate will have strong technical acumen, industry knowledge, and project management skills to support both our customers and internal operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage complex fabrication projects from bid to shipment, ensuring alignment with specifications, schedules, and customer expectations.
• Review plans and technical specifications to develop accurate quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates for sales proposals.
• Work with drafting department colleagues to prepare detailed bills of materials, drawings,  and documentation for order entry and production teams.
• Track and manage project milestones and ensure project requirements are communicated across all departments including QC, manufacturing, shipping, and procurement.
• Identify and troubleshoot project bottlenecks and help implement timely, cost-effective solutions.
• Maintain working knowledge of DOT and industry standards applicable to highway guardrail and bridge components.
• Stay informed of current market pricing trends and manufacturing capacity to support accurate estimating and lead time assessments.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in project management and/or estimating in a manufacturing or construction-related industry.
• Strong understanding of engineered metal products, DOT standards, and construction specifications.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, contract plans, and specifications.
• Solid analytical and mathematical skills for estimating and cost control.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Experience using ERP systems and project tracking tools with exceptional proficiency in MS Excel.
• Highly organized with strong ability to manage multiple high visibility projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
