REPORTS TO:
Yard/Shipping Manager
SPECIFICATIONS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- – Pull orders for shipments
- – Load and unload trucks as needed
- – Operate forklift
- – Strap and band material
- – Shrink wrap pallets
- – Cut corrugated pipe using a plasma cutter
- – Limited welding
- – Stock warehouse and yard
- – Keep yard and warehouse clean and organized
SPECIFICATIONS OF AUTHORITIES:
None without Manager approval
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATION(S):
- – The ability to read a tape measure and perform simple calculations
- – Willingness to work outside in all types of weather
- – Lift and move heavy objects, sometimes in excess of 50 pounds
- – Operate a forklift
- – Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- – Willingness to work overtime hours as needed (sometimes on a regular basis)
- – The ability to work well with others
OTHER DETAILS:
Hours are Monday through Friday, with start and stop times varying depending on business needs
Position is non-exempt with overtime being paid after 40 hours worked a week
