The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the maintenance team, ensuring all equipment, machinery, and facility systems are operating safely and efficiently. This role is hands-on and requires strong technical knowledge of steel fabrication equipment and industrial maintenance practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians across shifts.
- Prioritize and assign daily work orders, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs.
- Ensure proper functioning of all production equipment including welding systems, press brakes, cutting machines, cranes, and conveyors.
- Maintain records of maintenance work, inspections, and parts inventory.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to implement maintenance schedules, improvement projects, and equipment upgrades.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Monitor safety compliance and promote safe work practices in all maintenance activities.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff on procedures, safety standards, and equipment operation.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIRMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Strong working knowledge of equipment used in steel fabrication and manufacturing environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- OSHA training or knowledge of OSHA standards is a plus.
