Yard Worker-Hutto, TX

Hourly Rate: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

 SUMMARY: 

We are looking for a person with a strong attention to detail, desire to learn, and the ability to provide a high level of customer service. 

 JOB DUTIES:

• SPECIFICATIONS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
• – Pull orders for shipments
• – Load and unload trucks as needed
• – Operate forklift
• – Strap and band material
• – Shrink wrap pallets
• – Cut corrugated pipe using a plasma cutter
• – Limited welding
• – Stock warehouse and yard
• – Keep yard and warehouse clean and organized

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• – The ability to read a tape measure and perform simple calculations
• – Willingness to work outside in all types of weather
• – Lift and move heavy objects, sometimes in excess of 50 pounds
• – Operate a forklift
• – Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
• – Willingness to work overtime hours as needed (sometimes on a regular basis)
• – The ability to work well with others

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio-hazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises.
• Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.
• Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and includes the use of protective equipment.
