Senior Structural Engineer – Multiple Openings – Fort Worth

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Use PLS-Pole, RISA-3D, and RISAConnection to perform structural design and analysis of and develop accurate and competitive engineering proposals for tapered tubular steel utility structures up to 500 kV, including monopoles, h frames, and multi-bay structures.
2. Lead project team during engineering design phase for key alliance customers.
3. Oversee the development of calculations and drawing submittals.
4. Stamp and seal final engineering calculations and drawings.
5. Leverage structural design engineering experience to peer-review work.
6. Continuously improve engineering design methodologies, standard drawings, and best practices to design primary steel components and welded and bolted connections for tapered tubular steel utility structures.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
• 4 years of experience with structural design and analysis of tapered tubular steel utility structures.
• Professional engineer license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Experience with PLS-Pole.
• Experience with RISA-3D and RISAConnection or similar structural design applications.
• Experience detailing welded and bolted connections for tapered tubular steel utility structures.
• Approximately 10% domestic and international travel.
