JOB SUMMARY:
The Structural Engineer is responsible for developing engineering proposals and overseeing the final engineered designs for utility steel pole manufacturing. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Design steel transmission pole structures up to 345kV, including monopoles, H-frames, and three-pole configurations.
2. Ensure the accuracy, quality, and timely completion of engineering proposals and assigned projects
3. Prepare complete and detailed engineering design packages in accordance with applicable standards and customer requirements.
4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Drafting, and Operations, to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required.
• Four (4) years of experience in the structural design and analysis of utility structures.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Drafting, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing.
• Proven ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, clients, and partners.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% as required.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in steel pole structural design.
• Proficiency in structural design software applications such as PLS-Pole and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Proficient in structural design applications such as RISA-3D and Mathcad.

• Must adhere to company policies, safety standards, and data security protocols.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Requires a reliable home workspace with appropriate computer and internet access to run structural design software.
• Occasional travel (up to 10%) to client sites, project locations, or company offices may be required.
• Work involves extended periods at computer for design, analysis, and documentation.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams will occur through virtual meetings, email and phone communications.
